NEAR EAST FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP, 1984, allowed me to have a short sabbatical at the Rabbit Research Center, Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon, U.S.A.
AMIDEAST SCHOLARSHIP, 1977-1979, provided for my Master's Degree.
SEA GRANT SCHOLARSHIP, Oregon state University, 1979-1981. This federal program paid for my Ph.D. Degree.
NEAR EAST FOUNDATION GRANT, 1983-1986, whose aim is to promote the idea of raising rabbits for meat production in the Third World.
WELFARE ASSOCIATION GRANT, 1986-1987, for research into alternative utilization of animal wastes.
AMIDEAST GRANT, 1989-1990, for the promotion of backyard farming (rabbit raising).
HIGHER EDUCATION FOR DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION, 1990. The Commission of the European Community sponsored a visit to University College, Dublin, in the area of curriculum and community development programs.
AMIDEAST GRANT, 1990, for a visit to institutions in Jordan engaged in fish farming and the utilization of treated waste water.
A short course on University teaching management. Sponsored by the UNDP, June 1992, Jerusalem.
Mid-campus project sponsored my participation in a short course on: Down stream processing in biotechnology. EGE University and Biotechnology center, June, 1995, Izmir, Turkey.
European Community grant, 1993-1995, supported a pilot research project on the utilization of treated waste water in aquaculture and monitoring of food and feed quality in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Irish support fund 1996-1997. Conduct research on food quality surveillance and preparation of food tables for local food ingredients.
French consulate, Jerusalem, sponsored a three week working visit to the veterinary school of lyons, and the Agriculture Research Center (INRA), January, 1996.
Association of Arab Universities. 2000. Sponsored a research project on: The environmental conditions of local industrial establishments and their impact on the health of their employees and the surrounding environment.
